Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has set out to develop his own artificial intelligence to support him at home and at work. The intention is that the system can be controlled via his voice.

Zuckerberg describes the idea as a system similar to Jarvis from the Iron Man movies. He also says that he first wants to find out which techniques are already available. He then wants to use the voice-controlled system to control, for example, light and music in his house.

He also wants the system to recognize his friends by their faces when they are at his door. He also plans to use the assistant at work, stating that he wants to visualize company data in virtual reality.

Given that his intention is to develop the system in 2016, it can be expected that he will deliver results during the year. Zuckerberg does not mention existing techniques that he wants to use for his project. The idea of building your own Jarvis is not new, the Jasper Project is also involved in this. The code for the client software is available on GitHub.
