ZTE Introduces Blade V8 Mini With Dual Camera
ZTE announced the Blade V8 Mini and Blade V8 Lite at Mobile World Congress. The Blade V8 Mini midrange smartphone features a dual camera, just like its bigger brother announced in January.
The ZTE Blade V8 Mini has a 5″ screen with 720p resolution. The processor is the Qualcomm 435 and there are 2GB of ram and 16GB of storage. The battery capacity of the phone is 2800mAh. This means that the smartphone has lesser specifications than the one announced in January. Blade V8, but there is a dual camera, just like that model. Both devices have a 13-megapixel camera and 2-megapixel companion. The front camera is a 5-megapixel model.
ZTE also releases a Lite variant of the Blade V8. This should miss the dual camera: there are an 8-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel front variant. The 5″ screen offers the full HD resolution in this model. The processor is the Helio P10 MTK 6750 octacore, but the battery capacity is slightly less than that of the Mini at 2500mAh.
The Blade V8 Mini is coming to the European market for an as yet undisclosed price. The V8 Lite will initially only be available in Germany, Italy and Spain, but later also in other European markets.
ZTE also announced the Gigabit Phone. This is a smartphone that can handle LTE download speeds of 1Gbit/s and has a Snapdragon 835. Reports about this have been around for some time, but at the MWC fair, ZTE announced to The Verge that it is a concept that will not actually come on the market.
