ZTE Announces Axon MAX With 6″ Full HD Display
ZTE comes with a new smartphone in its Axon series. The Axon MAX is a 6-inch smartphone with a full-HD AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 617 chipset and 3GB of RAM. The device runs on Android 5.1 with ZTE’s own MiFavor 3.5 shell on top.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 of the Axon MAX is an octacore processor with a speed of up to 1.5GHz. Furthermore, the device has 32GB of storage memory, a 16-megapixel camera on the back and a 13-megapixel camera on the front, ZTE announced. The dimensions of the metal housing of the Axon MAX are 160x80x7.5mm. The smartphone will in any case be available in a gold color. The device also has a micro-SD card slot, fingerprint sensor and USB-C connection.
It is striking that ZTE has replaced the existing three energy saving modes of Android KitKat with five different modes. In addition, the 4140mAh battery can be quickly charged thanks to Quick Charge 2.0 support. ZTE currently only speaks of a release in home country China. The manufacturer asks 2799 Chinese Yuan for the device, which amounts to about 400 euros. If you want to have the device in the short term, you will have to import it because an international release has not yet been announced.
