Zotac equips Nano mini PCs with Broadwell chips
Zotac has announced two new small Zbox Nano desktop systems. The manufacturer provides the mini PCs with a Core i3 and Core i5 of the Broadwell generation. They also have support for WiFi ac.
The PCs with Broadwell chips are part of Zotac’s Zbox Nano M series of small desktops. The systems have dimensions of 127x127x45mm. The specifications of the systems are identical, except for the processor. The Zbox MI522 Nano has an Intel Core i3-5010U, while the Zbox MI542 Nano has a Core i5-5200U. These are dual cores with a TDP of 15W that are mainly used for laptops. Both have HD Graphics 5500 for the graphics.
Users must provide the systems with ddr3 and storage media themselves. They support a maximum of 16GB ddr3, divided over two slots, and the storage medium must be a 2.5″ part. Furthermore, hdmi 1.4a, displayport 1.2, gigabit ethernet, wifi-ac and bluetooth 4.0, as well as four usb 3.0 ports and another USB 2.0 port.
Zotac has not yet announced the prices and exact release dates.
