Zotac has released a new Zbox mini PC in the E series that features an Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M GPU. In addition, Zotac has placed a dual-core Intel Core i5 4200U processor in the compact PC.

The Zbox EN760 has a housing that is almost identical to the previously released model with an AMD A8 5545M apu. In addition to two dd3-so-dimms for the working memory, the mini-PC can accommodate two 2.5″ hard disks or SSDs at the sata 600 connections, while optionally there is also room for an msata ssd.

The regular calculations are refreshed by an Intel Core i5 4200U, a dual-core processor that is clocked at 1.6GHz and has a turbo of up to 2.6GHz. For the graphics jobs, Zotac has included an Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M GPU in the system. This Maxwell GPU offers 640 cuda compute units and runs in boost mode at 1097MHz. The graphics calculator has access to 2GB gddr5 video memory. According to Zotac, the mini PC with such a GPU can therefore be used as a compact game system.

802.11ac WiFi is available for communication with the outside world, as well as Bluetooth 4.0 and two gigabit Ethernet connections. A card reader, four USB 3.0 connections, DVI and HDMI are also available. In addition to a ‘bare’ version, Zotac also comes with a Plus version, where the user has to add storage and memory himself. It comes with 8GB of RAM and a 1TB hard drive. The manufacturer has not yet released prices.
