Zotac equips GeForce GTX 1080 ArcticStorm with water cooling block

Zotac announces a GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card that includes a water cooling block and can be incorporated into a custom loop water cooling system. It is unknown what the card will cost and when it will appear on the market.

The cooling block is equipped with LEDs and users can set the color with the help of software. This should make it possible to provide colorless liquid with a color of your choice. The water cooling block, which has G1/4 fittings, covers the entire PCB of the video card and is made of copper.

With a base clock of 1632MHz and a boost clock of 1771MHz, the GPU of the GTX 1080 ArcticStorm is hardly overclocked compared to regular GTX 1080 versions. The speeds are considerably lower than those of Zotac’s AMP Extreme version, which is equipped with three fans, and has a base and boost clock of 1771 and 1911MHz.

Zotac does not provide any further information about the PCB design. For example, it is not known how many power phases the card is equipped with. The backplate appears to be similar to that of Zotac’s other GTX 1080 cards. It is not yet known when the GTX 1080 ArcticStorm will be released on the market and what the suggested retail price will be.
