Zotac Announces Passively Cooled Zbox PCs With Coffee Lake Mobile Quadcores
Zotac has updated its C series of Zbox Nano PCs. The manufacturer equips the compact passively cooled systems with Intel processors of the eighth generation, including the Core i7 8550U quad-core.
The Zbox Nano C systems have a housing with dimensions of 129x204x68mm and a volume of 1.79 liters. The top, bottom and sides are perforated in a honeycomb structure and inside Zotac has placed a bulky block of cooling fins over the motherboard.
Zotac is releasing three variants of the Zbox Nano C: the CI660 Nano with Core i7 8550U, CI640 Nano with Core i5 8250U and CI620 Nano with Core i3 8130U. These processors have a TDP of 15W and are usually used in laptops.
Zotac supplies the systems without memory and storage, but there are two so-dimm slots and there is room for a 2.5 “storage disk. At the front are two usb-c ports and a usb 3.0 type-a variant, In addition to the audio connectors and the memory card reader, there are another four USB 3.0 ports on the back, as well as two gigabit LAN connections, HDMI 2.0 and displayport 1.2.The systems support WiFi-AC and Bluetooth 4.2 and the antenna for WiFi is to be attached to the back.
Zotac does not report the prices of the models and since no web stores seem to have the PCs in their range yet, we are still waiting for those prices and the availability dates.
