The open beta period for co-op zombie shooter Back 4 Blood starts on August 12. It was already clear that the open beta was planned for the summer, but an exact date was not yet available. Publisher Warner Bros. also released a new trailer.

The open beta will be open to everyone from August 12. That period lasts until August 16. Those interested in pre-ordering the game can get started with an open beta from August 5-9. This data applies to all platforms, with full crossplay support.

Back 4 Blood is being developed by Turtle Rock Studios, the creator of Left 4 Dead. Back 4 Blood is also seen as the spiritual successor with largely the same kind of gameplay. A new addition is a card system, which the developer gave more details about.

The new game is a co-op zombie shooter. Gameplay footage can be seen in the short new trailer. More images about the pvp mode will follow on June 13. Back 4 Blood will be released on October 12 for current and previous generation PlayStation and Xbox consoles, on Steam and on the Epic Games Store.
