Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is available to Switch Online subscribers
Nintendo has announced that it will be releasing two classic NES games for subscribers to the Switch Online service, which was released last September. It concerns Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and the game Blaster Master.
Nintendo reports on Twitter and through a released trailer that both Zelda II: The Adventure of Link and Blaster Master will be available on January 16. These are the two titles coming this month for the Switch Online service.
Originally released for the NES in 1987, Zelda II: The Adventure of Link is a sidescrolling RPG that differed significantly in gameplay from The Legend of Zelda, which came out in 1986. Blaster Master came out in 1988.
Switch Online is the online payment service that Nintendo released for the Nintendo Switch in September. Subscribers can play online with this, have access to cloud saving and have access to a smartphone app. Users also get access to an ever-growing library of classic NES games.
Nintendo released several other NES games in December as part of the Switch Online service, such as Ninja Gaiden, Wario’s Woods and Adventures of Lolo. With the service’s release in September, a number of other classic NES games were readily available, such as Donkey Kong, The Legend of Zelda, and Mario Bros.
