Zeiss has added a fifth lens to its Loxia lineup for Sony FE mount cameras. The Loxia 25 mm f/2.4 will be available in the Benelux from mid-March for a suggested retail price of 1320 euros.

The Loxia 25mm f/2.4 lens is 74.5mm long, 43mm in diameter and weighs 393g. The metal housing has a thread for 52mm filters. Focusing can be done from a distance of 25cm, measured from the sensor plane.

The Loxia series consists of lenses without autofocus, but with an electronic mount, so that EXIF data and the information about the focus distance can be passed on to the camera. In the Loxia series, Zeiss previously released the 21mm f/2.8, 35mm f/2.0, 50mm f/2.8 and 85mm f/2.4. The lenses have a Sony E mount and are suitable for full-frame cameras from the Sony A7 series, for example.
