YouTube no longer immediately starts a playlist on smart TVs when it is clicked
From now on YouTube will first show the content of playlists on Android TV and other smart TVs before it is started. The update for the YouTube app with the new playlists interface is now being made available gradually.
When users click on a playlist via the smart TV app after the update, they will see a new playlist interface, 9to5Google discovered. On the right side of the screen, all the videos in the playlist are listed in order, allowing users to choose a specific video to start the playlist from.
On the left are a number of other options. For example, users can choose to play all videos in order, as was previously the case by default when clicking on a playlist via the smart TV app. There is also a loop option, and an option to add the playlist to the user’s YouTube library.
