YouTube Music can now automatically download recently played songs
YouTube Music has gained the option on Android devices to automatically download recently played songs. Users with a Premium subscription can enable or disable the feature from the Downloads segment in the app’s settings.
The feature is part of “smart downloads” and can download up to 500 recently played songs. The exact number of numbers can be set via a slider. An estimate is also given of the amount of data it will take up.
Enabling or disabling the feature is done via Downloads and storage in the settings. The music is stored offline if your device is connected to WiFi and there is sufficient battery charge left. Then the downloaded tracks can be found in the Downloads segment in the settings.
YouTube Music allows users to choose whether to listen to a song with or without a video clip, provided video content is available. In January, automatic downloading of recently played songs already became a feature announced by Googlebut the rollout is only now widely available, reports 9to5Google. The feature is not yet available on iPhones.
