YouTube launches Explore tab to let users discover new videos
YouTube comes with Explore, a new tab within the application that should make it easier for users to discover new videos. The new tab should replace Trending, which, as the name implies, mainly showed popular videos.
On one of its support pages, Google announces the arrival of Explore. The new tab will appear in the near future for all users of the Android and iOS application. Google is not talking about the desktop version of the video site. It may take several days for all users to receive the update. Incidentally, the new functionality has been tested in a beta program for some time.
The intent of Explore is to allow users not only to see popular videos, as on the Trending tab, but also to view other videos more easily. Selected videos in subcategories such as gaming and news are available via separate buttons. There is also a button to see upcoming talents, with “artist on the rise” and “creator on the rise”.
