YouTube comes with a function to indicate errors in videos
Google’s video service YouTube comes with a function that allows makers to indicate errors in videos. A card will then appear in the video at that point for users to click to see an explanation.
YouTube Corrections
The map at the top right of the video will show ‘View Corrections’, so says youtube† It appears once in the video and clicking on it leads users to a text containing timestamps and all the corrections that a creator wants to make.
Until now, a creator could only correct an error by uploading an updated version of the video. Not only is that time consuming, it also makes all comments from a video disappear. Many makers therefore chose to post a response to a video themselves and to pin it to draw attention to the error. The feature is available immediately in the YouTube backend.
