YouPorn lets users register without password or data

Porn site YouPorn has put a method online that allows users to register without having to enter a password or share data. The site only gives each user a code to log into devices.

Users can then bookmark videos as favorites, subscribe to channels and build collections of videos, YouPorn says. The registration works with a code that the site stores in a cookie on the user’s device called ‘rememberme’. That cookie is valid for one year. When the user visits the site again, he or she will still be logged in.

When users want to log in on another device, they can enter the ‘recovery code’ consisting of tens of characters to access the account. The registration method does not require users to leave any information, according to the site. As a result, the intention is that more people create an account, the site says. Presumably, the site also collects more data for targeted advertising. A traditional account is still required to access paid features of the site.
