Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami Coming to PC This Year
Sega announced at E3 in Los Angeles that ports of Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami will be released on PC. Yakuza 0 will be out on August 1; a release date for Yakuza Kiwami is still unknown.
Both Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami already have a page on Steam and the former title can be pre-ordered for eighteen euros. The trailer for Yakuzo 0 shows that a 4k resolution is supported in the PC version and that a maximum frame rate, as is common with consoles, is missing.
The trailer for Yakuza Kiwami reveals that the PC game is a remaster of the console version. Here too, 4k resolutions are supported and there is no maximum for the number of images per second. A release date for Yakuza Kiwami has not yet been announced; Steam only says the game is “coming soon.”
Yakuza Kiwami is a remaster of the first title in the Yakuza series and was released on PlayStation 4 in Europe and the US in August 2017. Yakuza 0 is a prequel to the Yakuza series and was released in January 2017 for the PlayStation 4 in Europe and the US. At the end of May, it was also announced that three Yakuza titles, Yakuza 3, 4 and 5, will be remastered in Japan on the PlayStation 4.
The games fall into the action-adventure genre and have RPG elements. In the games, players with Japanese Yakuza mobster Kazuma Kiryu enter an open world from a third-person perspective.
