Xiaomi’s 120W smartphone charger appears at Chinese inspection body

A charger from Xiaomi has appeared at a Chinese inspection body with which smartphones can be charged with 120 watts. This would allow a 4000mAh battery to be fully charged in 13 minutes.

Data from the as yet unannounced charger appeared in China, at the inspection body that issues 3C certificates as a safety feature for the Chinese market. The website Mysmartprice discovered this. The data shows that Xiaomi is working on a charger that can charge at 20 volts with up to 6 amps, which equates to a power of 120 watts.

It’s not the first time a 120W charger has appeared. Vivo already announced last year that it was working on such a technology, under the name SuperFlash Charge 120W. Xiaomi already demonstrated a charger that can charge with 100W.

When Xiaomi wants to release the 120W charger is not yet known. However, it seems that the release is soon, as certification for the product has been received.
