Xiaomi will release the Mi Band 2 in two weeks, on June 7. The company’s director confirmed this in a round of questions after the announcement of Xiaomi’s first drone. Unlike the first version, the Mi Band 2 has a screen.

The Chinese manufacturer has not yet released all the specifications of the Mi Band 2, but top executives of the company have been wearing the band in public for weeks and on Wednesday, CEO Lei Jun said the Mi Band 2 will go on sale on June 7, reports MyDrivers. This happened in a Q&A session following the announcement of the drone.

Like its predecessor, the Mi Band 2 will have hardware on board to track movements and count steps. Unlike its predecessor, the Mi Band 2 also has a screen on which users can read the time and data. It is unknown whether the band will also be able to show notifications as a smartwatch. There also seems to be a button on the bracelet.

Photos of the Mi Band 2 were previously released. The first Mi Band did well in sales and the Chinese manufacturer delivered more than ten million copies. This makes Xiaomi the largest in the wearables market after Fitbit.
