Xiaomi will announce Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra next week
Xiaomi will announce its more expensive Mi 11 series phones, the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra, at its own event in China next week. The manufacturer has announced this. The Mi 11 was already released in the Benelux this month.
There are rumors of several models that Xiaomi will show, including a Mi 11 Lite, but Xiaomi mentions the Pro and the Ultra in the event announcement. The Pro and Ultra thus come three months after the regular version of the Mi 11, which Xiaomi presented at the end of December and released in the Benelux in February.
The rumors about both more expensive models have been going on for some time. The Mi 11 Pro is said to resemble the Mi 11, but add a periscopic zoom camera. The Mi 11 does not have a telephoto camera at all. The Mi 11 Ultra would include a primary camera with a resolution of 50 megapixels and two 48-megapixel cameras, one with an ultra-wide-angle lens and one with a periscopic zoom. The phone would further be able to charge wirelessly at 67W and reverse wirelessly charge other devices at 10W. Wired charging may be possible with 200W.
With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, the Mi 11 already has the most powerful soc that the American chip designer currently offers, in combination with lpddr5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage. The Pro and Ultra models may have more memory and storage. The Mi 11 came out for 850 euros; the Pro and Ultra will presumably be more expensive. Last year’s Mi 10 Ultra only came out in China.
