From now on, Xiaomi will release a new security update for more than 60 smartphones at least every quarter. Some smartphones even get an update every month. These are devices from the manufacturer itself, but also from subsidiaries POCO and Redmi.

The Chinese manufacturer recently updated the support page about security updates bee, so notes XDA. On the page, Xiaomi emphasizes that all new smartphones receive Android upgrades for at least two years from the time of release. How frequently users can expect an interim update of the operating system differs per device.

Only the Xiaomi Mi A3, Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite receive a monthly security update. According to Xiaomi’s website, the vast majority of devices receive a security update once a quarter. Incidentally, some devices are missing from the list. Xiaomi mentions the Mi 11 Ultra and Mi 11 Lite, but the standard Mi 11 and Pro variant are missing. The Mi 10 Ultra and Redmi K30 series also seem to be missing.
