Xiaomi unveils Mi CC9 Pro with five cameras – update
Xiaomi has announced its Mi CC9 Pro smartphone with five cameras. The device includes a 108-megapixel sensor from Samsung and a camera with telephoto lens. The phone will be released in China on November 11 with a starting price of EUR 360.
The primary camera in the camera setup of the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro has a resolution of 108 megapixels, GSMArena writes. It is powered by Samsung’s Isocell Bright HMX sensor, which was developed in collaboration with the Chinese manufacturer. The primary camera includes a standard seven-element lens with an aperture of f/1.7. Xiaomi also sells a more expensive Premium variant with an 8P lens, which should provide ‘photos with more detail’. The aperture remains unchanged at f/1.7.

The phone contains a camera with telephoto zoom and a resolution of 8 megapixels. This camera can optically ‘zoom in’ up to 5x, but only when the resolution is reduced to 5 megapixels. With digital zoom, this is increased to 50x. The Mi CC9 Pro also contains a macro camera for 2 to 10 centimeters. It works together with the 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera to achieve a minimum focal length of 1.5 centimeters. The fifth camera contains a telephoto lens with 2x zoom and a resolution of 12 megapixels. This camera is mainly intended for taking portrait photos.
The device has an AMOLED screen of 6.47 “with a full HD+ resolution and a screen ratio of 19.5: 9. The front camera is processed in a drop-shaped notch and has a resolution of 32 megapixels. The smartphone is available in three variants; the model with 6GB ram and 128GB storage costs 2799 yuan, which translates to about 360 euros. The variant with 8GB ram and 256GB is available for 3,099 yuan, converted about 398 euros. The CC9 Pro Premium with 8P lens also has 8GB of ram and 256GB of storage, but costs 3499 yuan. That’s about 450 euros. Chinese prices often deviate from the final euro prices.
