Xiaomi shows successor to smartphone in China that it sold elsewhere as Mi A1
Xiaomi has presented the Mi 6X in its home country of China. That is the successor of the Mi 5X, which is in the shops in Europe as Mi A1 with Android One. The phone has an 18:9 screen and no 3.5mm jack.
The Mi 6X runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660-soc, Xiaomi reports. The 660 has four ‘Kryo 260’ cores at 2.2GHz and four smaller and more efficient ‘Kryo 260’ cores at 1.8GHz and an Adreno 512 GPU. Xiaomi adds 4GB or 6GB of lpddr4x memory, while the ufs storage has a capacity of 64GB or 128GB.
The phone has a 6″ 18:9 LCD with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The device has a dual camera. The primary camera has a Sony IMX486 sensor with 1.25 micron pixels and a maximum resolution of twelve megapixels. The lens has an f/1.75 aperture, the secondary camera has a twenty megapixel, 1 micron pixel IMX376 sensor, also with an f/1.75 lens.The front camera is also an IMX376 and has the option to change in resolution. go back and display information from four pixels as one pixel for better performance in lower light, the manufacturer says.
The phone will be released in China with Miui. Last year, after the Mi 5X, Xiaomi presented a variant for the rest of the world in the form of the Mi A1 with Android One. The stock Android version has proved popular in the Pricewatch since its release. The Mi 6X will be released this week for a price starting from 1599 yuan, currently converted around 207 euros.
