Xiaomi shows a strikingly designed WiFi router

The Chinese firm Xiaomi will broaden its product portfolio for the consumer market with the introduction of a router. The unnamed router has been given a striking design and resembles Apple’s new Mac Pro models.

Founded in 2010, Xiaomi is still a young company, but it is growing very quickly and is good for a turnover of billions. The company also has an increasingly wide range of consumer electronics. For example, the company now makes smartphones in various price segments, but Xiaomi also produces HDTVs and sells e-books via the web. The company is now also planning to enter the network equipment market with the introduction of a striking design router.

Virtually no technical details are known about the unnamed model, but the router is said to have dual-band technology. However, Xiaomi has given the router a housing that, with its round shapes, seems inspired by Apple’s new Mac Pro models. Xiaomi has not yet announced a price. It is clear that the router will be for sale from December 19.
