Xiaomi shows 12 Lite smartphone with 108-megapixel camera and 120Hz AMOLED screen
Xiaomi shows its 12 Lite midrange smartphone for the international market. The 12 Lite is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G and 6GB or 8GB of ram. The device also has a 6.55 “amoled screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite’s amoled screen retains the same size as last year’s Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite. The refresh rate gets an upgrade from 90Hz to 120Hz. The image resolution remains full-HD, and supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
Xiaomi provides the 12 Lite with a Snapdragon 778G soc, which can also be found in the Samsung A52. There are versions with 128GB or 256GB of storage and 6GB or 8GB of ram. The device has a 4300mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging. According to Xiaomi the device is fully charged within 41 minutes.
The smartphone includes a primary 108-megapixel camera with a Samsung HM2 sensor. Furthermore, there is an ultra wide-angle sensor of 8Mp, as well as a macro camera of 2Mp. The front camera is a 32-megapixel camera that is incorporated in a punch-hole in the screen.
The Xiaomi 12 Lite will start at $399. It is not known if and when the device will be released in the Benelux. Only ‘international market’ is mentioned by the company. The Mi 11 Lite and its 5G versions are available in the Benelux. Earlier this week, Xiaomi unveiled its 12S series for the Chinese market. The 12S, 12S Pro and 12S Ultra feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 soc. The Ultra model has a 1″ camera sensor from Sony.
