Xiaomi releases Poco F5 and F5 Pro with new Snapdragons for 429 to 629 euros

Xiaomi subsidiary Poco has presented the F5 and F5 Pro. The devices both have a 6.67″ screen and a 64-megapixel camera, but the devices differ in computing power. The Poco F5 is the first globally available phone with a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 CPU.

Poco, which falls under Xiaomi, will release the new devices later this month. The Poco F5 is the cheaper model. That has a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor, the first mobile processor on TSMC’s 4nm process. The quad-core CPU reaches a maximum speed of 2.91 GHz and has a built-in Adreno GPU on board. The phone also has 8GB or 12GB of Lpddr5 memory and UFS 3.1 and will be available with 256GB of storage, regardless of ram.

Although both devices have the same size, the resolution of the amoled screen differs. That of the F5 has 2400×1080 pixels and has a refresh rate of 120Hz. The brightness is up to 1000 nits.

The device has a 64-megapixel camera with an aperture of f/1.79. In addition, there is a camera with an ultra-wide-angle lens on the phone with a resolution of 8 megapixels and an aperture of f/2.2. Finally, there is a macro camera with a 2-megapixel lens and an f/2.4 aperture. The front camera lens has a 16-megapixel resolution. The device can shoot 4K images with optical and electronic image stabilization.

The F5 measures 161.11×74.95×7.9mm and weighs 181 grams. The phone has a 5000mAh battery that can fast charge at 67W with the included adapter. There is also a 3.5mm port on the phone and a dual SIM slot.

Poco F5 Pro

The Poco F5 Pro is better than the smaller model on several points. For example, the device has a faster processor; that is a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, an octa-core processor with a maximum speed of 3.0GHz. The memory and storage are otherwise the same as the cameras, although the Pro can also film in 8K resolution.

The display also differs. That is, like the other model, a 6.67 “screen, but the F5 Pro has a WQHD + resolution of 3200×1440 on a report screen with a higher peak brightness of 1400 nits.
