Xiaomi releases Mi A3 smartphone with three cameras for 249 and 279 euros
Xiaomi has officially presented the Mi A3 smartphone from Madrid, Spain. The device gets three cameras on the back and comes in two variants: with 4GB ram and 64GB storage, the device costs 249 euros and the variant with 4GB and 128GB costs 279 euros.
The Xiaomi Mi A3 has a teardrop notch for the front camera and includes three cameras on the back, including a 48-megapixel unit, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera and a depth camera with a resolution of 2 megapixels. The front camera, a 32-megapixel one, is according to Xiaomi the best it has integrated into a smartphone so far.
The Android One smartphone will have an AMOLED screen with a diagonal of 6.088″, a screen ratio of 19.5:9 and an area of 90.6cm². The resolution is 1560×720 pixels and the ppi is 283.6. The Xiaomi Mi A3 contains a fingerprint scanner integrated into the screen, has a battery capacity of 4030mAh, contains a USB-C connection and supports fast charging with 18W.The storage can be expanded up to 256GB and a 3.5mm jack for headphones is also present.
The soc is the Snapdragon 665 while the A2 has the Snapdragon 660. The Snapdragon 665 is also an octacore with Kryo 260 cores, which are clocked slightly lower on the 665. This new soc is not produced at 14nm, but at 11nm and has the more powerful Adrendo 610. In addition, the Snapdragon 665 has hardware acceleration for AI applications.
In Spain, the prices of 249 and 279 euros, and the release date July 24, have been announced, although it is not yet clear whether the Xiaomi Mi A3 will also come to the Benelux. The manufacturer has not yet announced anything about a Lite version of the A3.
