Xiaomi releases 13″, 14″ and 16″ RedmiBook laptops with Ryzen 4000 in China
Xiaomi has announced new RedmiBook laptops equipped with AMD Ryzen Mobile 4000 processors. These are models of 13″, 14″ and 16″. All models have a full-HD screen. RedmiBooks are not yet sold in Europe.
The new RedmiBooks come with AMD’s Ryzen 5 4500U hexacore or the Ryzen 7 4700U octacore. The smallest model has a maximum of a 1TB SSD; with the larger versions, that is 512GB. There is also a choice of 8 or 16 GB of RAM.
According to Gizmochina, which attended a presentation of the laptops, the larger models are no more expensive than the smallest version. The configuration of all formats is approximately the same. The 13″ and 14″ versions have to make do with a screen brightness of a maximum of 250cd/m², with the 16″ version that is 300cd/m².
The laptops are equipped with Windows 10 Home Chinese Edition and will be sold from June 1, but only in China for now. Should the laptops come to Europe in the future, prices are likely to be higher. For now, Xiaomi has only sold its Mi Notebook Air in European countries.
