Xiaomi releases 11T Pro phone with 120W fast charging and Pad 5 tablet in Europe

Xiaomi is releasing a new Android tablet that will also be launched in Europe, the Xiaomi Pad 5. The Xiaomi 11T Pro smartphone and two cheaper phones will also be released in Europe. The Pad 5 will be for sale from 349 euros and the 11T series also starts from 399 euros. The 11T Pro variant costs 699 euros.

Phone manufacturer Xiaomi has announced a new tablet coming to Europe for the first time since 2018, according to The Verge, the Xiaomi Pad 5. The successor to the Mi Pad 4 is an 11″ tablet with Android. The tablet has a 120Hz IPS screen with a resolution of 1600×2560 pixels and a relative screen ratio of 16:10. Xiaomi provides the tablet with 6GB of memory and a Snapdragon 860 processor from Qualcomm. The tablet will be available with 128GB and 256GB storage. The tablet was announced a month ago for the Chinese market.At that time, there was no European release known. The tablet can be supplied with an optional Smart Pen, but it is not yet known whether it will also come to Europe.

On the back of the tablet is a 13-megapixel camera that can record 4k videos at 30fps. On the front of the device is a selfie camera with a resolution of 8 megapixels. The tablet has four built-in speakers and has an 8720mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The tablet has dimensions of 254.7×166.3×6.9mm and weighs 511 grams. The tablet should come on the market in Europe for a suggested retail price of 349 euros with 128GB storage, while the 256GB variant will cost 399 euros. The Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, which was also announced in August, is not yet mentioned for release in Europe. This is equipped with a Snapdragon 870-soc, 8GB ram and there is a 5G variant.

At the same time, Xiaomi is also announcing a new series of smartphones for the European market, the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE, 11T and 11T Pro. The most expensive model, the 11T Pro, promises 120W fast charging that can charge the phone from 0 to 100 percent in 17 minutes, according to Xiaomi. The phone features a 6.67-inch 120Hz amoled panel with punch-hole camera, a Snapdragon 888-soc and a 108-megapixel camera.

The Xiaomi 11T and the Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G have a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Ultra-soc and a Snapdragon 778G respectively. All devices are equipped with 5G, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6 and dual-SIM and the three smartphones all have a fingerprint sensor on the side of the device. The devices run on MIUI 12.5, which is based on Android 11.
