Xiaomi presents a smartphone with a 108-megapixel camera for 205 euros in China
The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has domestically presented the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, a smartphone with 6.67 “LCD with 120Hz refresh rate, 5G support and a primary 108 megapixel camera.

The 5G version has a Samsung HM2 camera with a 108-megapixel sensor that merges the information from nine pixels into one pixel in a 12-megapixel photo. The sensor measures around 57 square millimeters, compared to the 69 square millimeters of the sensor of phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and Xiaomi’s own Mi Note 10 .
This smaller sensor is because the HM2 has smaller pixels: 0.7 microns. The resolution is 12,000×9000 pixels. Xiaomi has done an f / 1.75 lens for that. The device also has a camera with an ultra-wide angle lens of 8 megapixel and two small 2-megapixel sensors for macro photography that help determine depth for portrait photos.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G has a 6.67 “LCD with 120Hz refresh rate. In addition to the Note 9 Pro 5G, there are also a Note 9 5G and a new Note 9 4G, cheaper devices for the Chinese market. The Note 9 Pro 5G comes out for 1599 yuan, currently converted to about 205 euros.
