“Xiaomi Mi4 gets 5.5″ screen with 2560×1440 pixels and Snapdragon 805”

A Chinese web store has put specifications online of the Xiaomi Mi4, which will probably be officially announced soon. The device will probably have a 5.5″ screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and the Snapdragon 805-soc from Qualcomm.

The Xiaomi Mi4 appeared in the Chinese webshop Oppomart, which recently also started selling the OnePlus One as one of the first. In addition to the Snapdragon 805 and 2k screen, the specifications mention 3GB of ram and 32GB of storage memory. There is a 13-megapixel camera for photos and a connection to 4G networks via lte.

Oppomart asks for a price of 499 dollars for the Xiaomi Mi4, converted about 367 euros. However, it is not yet clear whether Xiaomi also has a European release planned; in Europe the price will probably be slightly higher. The Chinese webshop is not releasing anything about the release date.

Xiaomi sent out an invitation last week that hinted at the announcement of the Mi4 smartphone. It also emerged that the device probably has a metal housing. Should the new Xiaomi smartphone come on the market soon, it will be one of the first smartphones with the Snapdragon 805-soc, which should follow the Snapdragon 800 and 801. The announcement is scheduled for July 22.
