Xiaomi announces its Redmi 10 smartphone. This phone has a 6.5″ LCD with full HD resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The device will also get a MediaTek soc. It is not yet known when the Redmi 10 will be released and what it will cost.

The 6.5″ LCD will have a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels and support for Adaptive Sync, WinFuture writes, which is based on an early press release from Xiaomi. The refresh rate of the screen is up to 90Hz. Users can set the refresh rate of the screen at 45Hz, 60Hz and 90Hz.

The Redmi 10 also gets a MediaTek Helio G88 soc with six Cortex-A55 cores, two Cortex-A75 cores and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU from Arm. The Redmi 10 also gets 6GB of memory, 64GB or 128GB of storage capacity and a fingerprint scanner that is incorporated in the power button. Xiaomi also talks about a primary 50-megapixel camera, in addition to an 8-megapixel sensor with wide-angle lens and a depth sensor with 2-megapixel resolution. The selfie camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels and is incorporated in a hole in the screen.

The 5000mAh battery of the Redmi 10 supports fast charging at 18W, according to Xiaomi. The phone can also be used to charge other accessories ‘inversely’, such as wireless headphones. This is possible with a maximum power of 9W. Xiaomi does not yet give a suggested retail price or release date for the Redmi 10, but the manufacturer is expected to announce more details soon. Earlier this month, Redmi 10 devices already appeared at an Asian retailer. There the device costs converted 156 euros. The Redmi 9 appeared last year for 149 euros.
