Xiaomi comes with transparent version of Mi 9 smartphone with 12GB RAM
Xiaomi will unveil the Mi 9 smartphone on February 20 in Beijing, China, and that device will also receive a special, transparent version that has 12GB of RAM. This has been announced by Xiaomi founder Lei Jun. In addition, this version has slightly different camera specifications.
In a post on Weibo, Lei Jun announces that the Xiaomi Mi 9 Transparent Edition will be released. In addition to 12GB of RAM, this special version of the new phone has transparent glass on the back, so that at least part of the circuit board will be visible. When this transparent version of the device will be released is unknown, but more will probably be known about it during the announcement on February 20.
Furthermore, Lei Jun announces that the transparent version of the Mi 9 has slightly different camera specifications. Xiaomi previously announced that the device will have a 48-megapixel camera on the back. This also applies to the transparent version, but it will not consist of six lens elements like the standard version and does not have an aperture of f/1.75. The 48-megapixel camera of the 12GB version will consist of seven lens elements and has an aperture of f/1.47. This means that the transparent version may be slightly better able to take pictures in the dark.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 smartphone powered by a Snapdragon 855-soc will get a secondary 12-megapixel camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and two times optical zoom in addition to the 48-megapixel camera. The third camera is a copy with a resolution of 16 megapixels and has a wide-angle lens. According to previous rumors, the device will also have a 3D depth sensor.
