Xiaomi announces its first wireless power bank
Xiaomi has announced a power bank that can wirelessly charge phones via the Qi standard. The power bank has a battery capacity of 10,000mAh and can charge wirelessly with a maximum of 10W. The power bank is currently only available in India, for 30 euros.
The Xiaomi Mi Wireless Power Bank allows users to charge a phone both wired and wirelessly. For wireless charging, the top of the power bank has a non-skid surface to prevent the phone from sliding off the device. Wireless charging goes with a maximum of 10W, wired fast charging with a maximum of 18W.
The power bank can charge wired and wireless at the same time, allowing a user to power two phones at the same time. The power bank can also charge a phone wirelessly, while the power bank itself hangs on the charger. Charging the power bank is done via the USB-C port and with a maximum of 18W. For the wired charging of mobile devices, there is the USB-a port.
The 10,000mAh power bank is available at the first webshops in the Benelux for a starting price of 39.95 euros.
