A Xiaomi CEO has put the invitation online for an event at which the manufacturer would like to announce the gaming smartphone. That will happen on Monday 18 March, in a week and a half. It has been known for some time that Xiaomi was working on a successor to last year’s Black Shark and Black Shark Helo.
Rumors indicate that Xiaomi will equip the phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855-soc with at least 10GB of RAM. A photo an insider posted a week and a half ago shows the possible design of the phone. That design shows that the device has two cameras on the back.
Xiaomi released its first Black Shark in China last spring, after which the device was released in the Benelux towards the end of the year. By this time, the Helo variant came out in China. It is not yet known when the Black Shark 2 should be released in China or Europe.
