XFX Introduces RX Vega Graphics Cards With Custom Design

XFX has shown a Radeon RX Vega 56 and Vega 64 with modified design. Both cards are called XFX Double Edition and feature two fans and dual eight-pin connectors. The clock speeds have not been adjusted from the reference design.

XFX has not yet announced what the cards will cost and when they will be released, according to VideoCardz, but the Radeon RX Vega GPUs with modified design have now been officially unveiled. The manufacturer has not released photos of the PCBs, so it is not clear to what extent adjustments have been made to, for example, the phase design.

The eight-pin connectors are placed in the middle, in that respect the cards certainly deviate from the reference design. Also, the custom video cards are shorter than AMD’s versions. The GPUs of the XFX cards run at their reference speeds. The Vega 64 has a base clock of 1247MHz with boost to 1546MHz. With the Vega 56, that is 1156MHz and 1471MHz respectively. Both cards have 8GB hbm2.

RX Vega graphics cards with a custom design are still not for sale. In recent months, photos have appeared online of versions from a number of manufacturers. Presumably the cards will hit the market sometime in December, at least PowerColor would then release its RX Vega 64 Red Devil.

The photos are probably of prototypes as they still have six and eight pin power connectors
