Xenoblades Chronicles 3 coming to Nintendo Switch in September

Developer Monolith Soft will release a sequel to Xenoblade next year. The story of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 continues that of the first two games, but has new characters.

The developer announced the game together with Nintendo on Thursday. Xenoblade Chronicles will be released for the Switch in September this year. Monolith has released a trailer for the game. It shows that the story continues in the worlds of the original Xenoblade Chronicles and its sequel.

As in Xenoblade Chronicles 2, players switch characters again. Two new characters can be seen in the trailer, who according to Nintendo are called Noah and Mio. The trailer also shows how the classic third-person RPG takes place in an open world. Players walk through worlds with large structures and huge monsters, using magic and swords to fight.
