Xbox users can also request a refund for Cyberpunk 2077
After the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store has now also set the option to reclaim the purchase price for Cyberpunk 2077. The creator of the game, CD Projekt Red, has done this before, due to the large number of bugs that the game contains.
Xbox Support announced this via a notification on the website. Anyone who has digitally purchased Cyberpunk 2077 for the Xbox now has the opportunity to get the purchase price refunded. According to Microsoft, many customers have complained about the quality of the game, and it is possible to request a refund of the purchase price until further notice. Microsoft states that the vast majority of the applications that have already come in have been honored.
Sony previously announced that customers who bought Cyberpunk 2077 via the PlayStation Store can get their money back. In doing so, Sony also removed the game from the download store. Xbox does not do this by the way.
Maker CD Projekt Red will also give money back to customers who bought the game on disc. The company does this in response to the many complaints about the game, which came out earlier this month: the game turned out to be full of bugs, which in some cases also have a major impact on the gaming experience. CD Projekt Red has promised patches.
