Xbox One Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Releases July 11
The Xbox One version of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 will be released on July 11. That has developer Fatshark announced. The release date of the PlayStation 4 version is not yet known, but it should also be released soon.
Fatshark has put a trailer online with the release date of the Xbox One version. The game is available as a pre-order in Microsoft’s download store for $44.99. An open beta of the game is also available for download now for all Xbox users. The Swedish studio tells Eurogamer that the PS4 version is coming soon. The game was released for PC in March.
The game will also be part of the Xbox Game Pass service. Users who have a subscription to it do not need to purchase the game. They can play the game directly via the subscription service on the release date.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a co-op game that pits players against hordes of enemies from the Chaos and Skaven races using fire warpen, melee and stabbing weapons. There is no cross-play between the Xbox One and PC versions as the PC version uses lobbies on Steam, which is not combinable with the Xbox multiplayer architecture, the developer said.
