Players of the Xbox One version of Fallout 4 will have the option to customize the game with mods this week. On Tuesday, developer Bethesda wants to release an update for this. PlayStation 4 users can expect the same update next month.

Bethsda made the arrival of Fallout 4 mods for Xbox One announced on Twitter, among other things. Furthermore, during a livestream, Bethesda announced that there is a limit on the size of the mods, GameSpot notes. These can be a maximum of 2GB. Mods can also be removed to create space for new content. Furthermore, it is not possible to gain achievements if mods are installed.

Furthermore, it is necessary for mods that use content from dlc packs that the user has purchased it. Otherwise, the mod in question cannot be used. If you install a mod, or more, you will automatically receive a saved version of the game without installing any mods. If something goes wrong with the installed software, you can always revert to a ‘clean’ version.

Mods are already available for the PC version of Fallout 4, but console players didn’t have this option yet. After the release for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 owners will also receive support for Fallout 4 mods. This update should follow in June, according to Bethesda.

Last month, Bethesda started supporting Fallout 4 mods for PC. Content creators can use the so-called Creation Kit to fabricate mods. Created mods will then appear in a special in-game menu, and on the Bethesda website.
