Xbox.com briefly showed new game Star Wars: Squadrons and EA reveals game Monday
Microsoft briefly showed an advertising banner for Star Wars: Squadrons on the Xbox website. However, the game had not yet been announced, but shortly after the showing, EA announced that the game will be officially unveiled on Monday. The game focuses on dogfights.
The banner, captured in a screenshot by Kotaku among others, shows pilots from the Rebel Alliance and the Empire, along with their battleships and bombers. “Pilots Wanted” further points out that the game has a strong emphasis on flying, if not entirely focused on it. On the same day, EA released a tweet, which shows the same promotional image and announcing that the trailer for the game will be shown on Monday at 5 p.m.
According to Kotaku, the game is a “smaller, more unusual project being developed by EA Motive.” Furthermore, EA is said to be working on a sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order, the Dark Souls-esque game from 2019.
