Xbox CEO Mike Ybarra Leaves Microsoft

Mike Ybarra, the current corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Xbox division, is leaving the company. He worked at Microsoft for almost twenty years. Ybarra hints at a new job in the gaming industry, but doesn’t say what it is.

Ybarra announces his departure on Twitter. Ybarra does not yet say what his new position will be and at which company that will be. Well he hints in another tweet that he’s going to do something else that’s game-related. He will announce more about this soon.

Mike Ybarra has been with Microsoft since June 2000. He started out as a system engineer, but soon worked his way up to higher positions. In 2009 he became general manager of Xbox Live. Since 2017, as corporate vice president, he was responsible for all things gaming at Microsoft. It is not yet known who will be Ybarra’s successor.
