World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic is out September 26

Activision Blizzard is releasing the Wrath of the Lich King expansion for World of Warcraft Classic on September 26. The expansion is free for all purchasers of a World of Warcraft subscription.

World of Warcraft Classic: Wrath of the Lich King is largely similar to the expansion’s original variant. Players gain access to the Death Knight class and the first character in this class does not have a minimum level of 55 in Wrath of the Lich King Classic. The expansion also reintroduces the two new areas in the icy Northrend, namely Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord . Of course, the story around the villain the Lich King and the classic dungeons and raids are also playable again. Up until release, players can earn 50 percent more XP in World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade Classic let Blizzard know.

The second expansion for World of Warcraft Classic, which originally appeared in 2008, only slightly differs from the original on a few points, Tweakers previously wrote in a preview. For example, the dungeon finder is making way for the group finder, which is a negative development according to part of the WoW player base. Also, quest icons will initially not be present in Wrath of the Lich King. Blizzard wants to keep the feel of the original game with this. Later quest helpers would be added to the expansion, although it is not yet known when.
