World of Warcraft gets auction house tweak in favor of smaller servers
Blizzard is going to make an adjustment for all realms for some of the items displayed in the auction house. The commodity listings are shared with the entire region and are no longer specific to the server.
Blizzard reports on the official World of Warcraft forum that covers items like gems, spices, bottles and consumables. These items become available through the auction house for all servers within a certain region. Items that are not classified as commodities, such as armor pieces and weapons, are restricted in the auction house to only the players of a specific realm. This change will be available on the public test server first.
The developer writes that the auction house will still feel exactly the same, with the change that there will be many more buyers and sellers. This will mainly have an impact for relatively smaller servers. There, more large price fluctuations take place and prices are usually higher, because there is less supply and demand.
In addition, a new chat channel will be available: Trade (Services). Players can use this channel to search for and advertise opportunities to undertake raids, enter dungeons, and engage in player-versus-player activities. The already existing trade channel will be maintained; the new channel is purely intended to bundle the aforementioned activities there.
