WinFuture: GoPro introduces Hero 10 Black on September 15 for 540 euros
GoPro may present its upcoming Hero 10 Black action cam on September 15. That reports German website WinFuture. This GoPro Hero 10 Black would have a suggested retail price of 540 euros in Europe. The previous GoPro Hero 9 Black cost 480 euros at release.
According to WinFuture, the GoPro Hero 10 Black retains almost exactly the same housing as its predecessor, but the device would, among other things, get a new GP2 soc. This, together with other hardware improvements, should ensure higher frame rates and better film performance in low light. The actioncam also gets HyperSmooth 4.0 image stabilization, which is applied by default in all movie modes.
The upcoming actioncam can take pictures at a resolution of 23 megapixels. The camera can also record 5.3k videos at 60fps and film 4k images at 120fps. The actioncam would also offer a slow motion function at a 2.7k resolution. It achieves a frame rate of 240 fps. Users can also get 15.8 megapixel photos from the 5.3k videos.
The screen on the back of the new actioncam will remain unchanged, according to WinFuture, but the small display on the front may get a higher refresh rate. The website does not report a specific refresh rate. Furthermore, the viewing angle of the Hero 10 Black remains unchanged at 132 degrees. This can again be expanded to 155 degrees via a lens mod. The new GoPro also weighs 153 grams.
The GoPro Hero 10 Black has been expected for some time. A few weeks ago, WinFuture already shared several details about the actioncam, although the German tech website did not yet share an introduction date and suggested retail price. WinFuture regularly publishes accurate information about unannounced products, including the GoPro Hero 9 Black in 2020.
