Windows Edition Final Fantasy XV will be released in March along with Royal Edition
The Windows version of Final Fantasy XV will be released on March 6, according to an announcement from Square Enix. This happens together with the Royal Edition DLC, which, among other things, adds a new dungeon and items to the game.
According to the announcement, the Windows version natively supports 4k and hdr10, and it is possible to play the game at maximum 8k. In addition, this version includes support for mods. It was already known that there would be a Windows version, which would be suitable for 4k. Square Enix announced this in the run-up to the Gamescom trade show last year. The content of the Windows version corresponds to that of the Royal Edition.
Available as DLC to owners of FFXV on Xbox One and PS4, the Royal Edition includes a new dungeon called Insomnia City Ruins: Expanded Map. In addition, the release introduces a first-person mode, new bosses and new items. Furthermore, the Royal Vessel can be controlled and the water between Cape Caem and Altissia can be explored. The full Royal Edition, including FFXV, costs $50, while the individual DLC is priced at $20. The publisher gives various bonuses to players who pre-order the game. The content of the bonus pack depends on the platform on which the game is ordered.
