Windows 11 gets task manager button in taskbar context menu again
Microsoft has released a new optional update for Windows 11. Version KB5018496 adds the task manager button again to the taskbar context menu and also introduces new management options for the Microsoft account in the Settings app.
The button to the task manager panel becomes visible when a Windows 11 user right clicks on the taskbar. Microsoft writes in a blog post This feature will be rolled out in the coming weeks. So there is a chance that some users will not see the button immediately. It is not known on what exact date the function should be visible to all users.
Version KB5018496 also includes more extensive management options for the Microsoft account in the Settings app. There, users can now manage their OneDrive subscription, but also see any notifications regarding the storage space with this service. Microsoft has also fixed some bugs through the update. For example, titles of pop-up windows and tabs should now display correctly when using Microsoft Edge in IE mode.
