Windows 11 gets Notepad with new design and dark mode
Microsoft has released a new version of Notepad for Windows 11’s Dev Channel. Windows’ word processor gets a new design and dark mode. In addition, Microsoft adds some functionalities.
Microsoft is initially announcing the new version of Notepad only for the Insiders program. It is not yet clear when the new version of Notepad will be available to all Windows 11 users. The biggest changes, according to the announcement, are the modified design and the dark mode. According to Microsoft, the dark mode is a much requested option.
As for the features of Notepad, the new version for Windows 11 stays close to the current version. The new version does support different layers of ‘undo’ and users can more easily search and replace words.
Several standard applications for Windows are being revised with the arrival of Windows 11. Last month, Microsoft also announced a new media player.
