Microsoft has announced the end date of support for Windows 10 on its own support page. That’s October 14, 2025. Next week, Microsoft will announce more about the next generation of Windows.

The Microsoft page shows that it is about support for Windows 10 Pro and Home. A document on that page has been modified to reveal the end date of October 14, 2025. The company also reports that Windows 10 Home and Pro support began on July 29, 2015. This would mean that the support period of Windows 10 would be about ten years, just like with previous Windows versions.

According to Thurrott, this is the first time that Microsoft has announced the end of support for Windows 10. The site says that Microsoft previously only indicated when support would end for specific Windows 10 versions and not for the entire operating system as it is now.

On June 24, Microsoft will announce more about the next generation of Windows. It will be about a possible new version of the Windows OS. It could be Windows 11, although the name and further official details are still unknown. Perhaps during the event more clarity about a project codenamed Sun Valley.
