Windows 10 November 2019 Update is available
Microsoft started releasing Windows 10 version 1909 on Tuesday, or the Windows 10 November 2019 Update. For now, users will only get the update if they check for updates themselves.
Microsoft says downloading and installing Windows version 1909 will be much faster than version 1903, the Windows 10 May 2019 Update that came out earlier this year. According to the software developer, this is because the new version is based on the core of the version that came out earlier this year.
When Microsoft will start automatically pushing the update to Windows users is not yet known. The manufacturer probably wants to see how the update goes with users who download it manually. The update was already available to Insider testers under the name 19H2.
The Windows 10 November 2019 Update is the second major Windows update that Microsoft is releasing this year. Two such feature updates appear every year. Version 1909, however, is a modest update, with few new features. Microsoft announced this in July.
Microsoft has previously posted a list of the new features and changes online. Windows 10 version 1909 gives, among other things, more setting options for notifications and the possibility to add appointments to the calendar from the taskbar. The explorer’s search function also runs on Windows Search from now on.
