Windows 10 is getting a feature to autocomplete text. The predictive text is likely to come in the future preview, and will appear in most default apps in the operating system.

The new feature was first spotted by a software developer who started working with the new Windows 10 version. The feature allows users to see auto-completions in apps when they type something. The predicted text then appears in gray letters. Users see predictions for words as they start typing them, and can have them autocomplete when they press enter. The text also predicts the following words.

According to the discoverer, the function is in several standard apps in the operating system, such as Notepad and OneNote, and even the Alarm Clock app. According to BleepingComputer, the feature is not in web browsers or visited websites. The feature is in the Insider Preview of Windows 10 called 20H1. There it still has to be turned on manually. The feature may become available by default in later versions.
